This adventure begins at Seawind Landing Country Inn and makes several stops along the way to Canso, taking-in wonderful scenery and learning about the early history of the area, especially the Mi’kmaq and Basque Fisherman. The history story continues as we come to Canso and learn about early European settlements and the competing interests of the French and English. We also spend time hiking and exploring the wonderful natural history of the Canso Islands area. We even explore the future, including a proposed rocket launching facility.
