Fundy Whales to Peggy’s Cove

Following pick-up from downtown Halifax hotels, we engage in a tour that includes the world’s highest tides and encounters with whales that will astonish. We begin by heading to the Annapolis Valley to see apple orchards and vineyards, and pause to try the local wines. We also experience the Acadian story and see thousands of shorebirds in flock movements that mesmerise. From there we head to Brier Island for great birding, wonderful island culture, and whales at sea. Kejimkujik and Mi’kmaw culture come next, with a bit of exploring, and then on to the South Shore of Nova Scotia. There we will spend time at Lunenburg World Heritage Site and of course visit Peggy’s Cove.

The tour is available during the last week of July and first week of August (see events). It includes accommodations, breakfasts, lunches, guide and driver, and all travel. Pick-up and return are from downtown Halifax hotels. Bring good footwear (sneakers are fine), layers of clothing, raincoat, rubber boots (if you have them), and an inquisitive mind. Now you’re ready for your adventure!
